    Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates developmental status of child, works with parents to better understand life style and living conditions and creates and fulfills a patient plan that sets goals for development and works towards those goals.
    • Partners with parents to create patient plan.
    • Works towards the child’s goals by fostering a happy and encouraging environment.
    • Encourages the child to be an active participant.
    • Works with the family to execute therapy in home and in the center.
    • Supports the child’s needs from an emotional, physical and social perspective.
    • Team player. Willing and eager to work with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Playful person with high affect. Uses positive language.
    • Strong communication skills with parents, children and other therapists, respects timeliness.
    • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
      Has experience working with Techniques including: manual techniques, therapeutic handling, Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) techniques, sensory input, as well as age-appropriate toys and games, obstacle courses and gross motor skills to enhance a child’s functioning.

    Has experience providing children with therapy techniques in articulation,
    oral motor skills, feeding issue, language comprehension, expressive communication, phonemic awareness.

    Our therapists also work closely with the child to improve their attention span, critical thinking, social and play skills.

  • Assistants will support the execution of social groups and camp programs throughout the year. Qualified individuals looking to lead and assist in children’s programs should have the following skills:

    • Create email newsletters and email updates to parents. Knowledge of Mailchimp is helpful.
